Nice, original thought. A little more DOF might have helped, and (personal opinion), I would crop some from the top. I'm not sure the top adds anything to the photo. Cheers.

Great idea, but given the depth of field you used, I think the out of focus back ground is too blurred to play a part in the photo and essentially acts as empty space. I wonder if a little more DoF, or perhaps a tighter crop would strengthen this image? Just suggestions of course, based on my personal reaction to this image - as it is, I still find it rather appealing and engaging.
