andre_mcnichols 0 Posted October 22, 2005 You wouldn't tell when looking at my portfolio but shooting man made stuff doesn't come to me too easily. Problem is, I live in a city and I don't own a car so I have to shoot what's around me. After a while you may even develop a taste for it you know... even the ugliest places have some beauty hidden in them and you can find it if you look hard enough, as you demonstrated here. Guest Guest Posted October 24, 2005 Thank you, Claude! Andre, I can't imagine not having a vehicle to get around in...makes me shudder. Of course, places are pretty far apart out here. I think you do very well for being stuck in the city! Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted October 24, 2005 You shot this just in time to catch some great rays to outline the structure and what a great mix of textures in this image: great rock cliffs and smooth asphalt. All of this leaves the background mysteriously dark, good one ! Link to comment
gaetanchevalier 5 Posted October 26, 2005 Excellent exposure of a beautiful landscape. The light of this photo is superb and give a special mood. The composition offer a great perspective. Congratulation. Link to comment
brian_goodman 0 Posted October 29, 2005 Great shot Kim! I've been on that road many times, but I did'nt relize that it was that scary :). Going down to the Green river and shooting the dam is pretty awesome too. Great capture. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 30, 2005 Hi Brian, thanks! Do you have any photos of the dam from the river? I'd love to see them. I don't have a wide-angle yet. Link to comment
bpaulus 0 Posted October 31, 2005 Looks like there should be racecar's on it. Well done! Regards, Bill Link to comment

gareth_harper 0 Posted November 15, 2005 Wow, great light. Would love to ride my motorcycle on that road! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 16, 2005 Well, unfortunately the speed limit is 20 mph, and there are always cops watching, so you couldn't have too much fun, but there are plenty of great curves everywhere else on this mountain. They seem to watch the dam pretty close since 911. Thanks for looking! Link to comment
ldarnell.com 0 Posted May 4, 2006 this is a really nice shot. i can't make up my mind if i like it because i like looking at it, or because i'd like to be there...as, being there, and then having the image to relive being there is what it's all about for me. you live in one of the most beautiful places on earth...but i'll bet you know that. Guest Guest Posted May 4, 2006 Thanks Larry! Well, this country is certainly not the lush beauty that photographs easily, but I sure love it. It appears that you live in a very beautiful place, too! Link to comment
zephyrqueen69 0 Posted August 28, 2006 Great composition and lighting in this shot. The DOF is great too the way the roard pinches off around the corner. As well as the Contrast of the colors between the far right and the rest of the scene. Everything flows so well. Your eyes can't help but be lead in. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 29, 2006 And to think I was disappointed that day because I couldn't find any good flowers to photograph...thank you! Link to comment
