Sunrise Over Port Eynon 5

Hi, i took this image recently during a 4 day visit to the Gower

region in Wales. Armed with a set of lee filters and a tripod, my

photographic exercise for the duration of my visit was to improve my

Landscape skills.

Please tell me what you think of this image.

It was taken using a Sigma 12-24mm on a 20D. No colour manipulation

just a bit of de-res sharpening for the web sized photo.

Like the compostion. especially the photo radiating out of the centre.. it is cool. Like the colors...

Excellent DOF. If I could only work magic with my 20D like this. Awesome shot.

Nice composition except for the tilted horizon. I'd back off the super saturated greens in the foreground.

The clouds really add to the dramatic lighting and composition. I'd say you were quite successful with this shot. Beautiful work.

I think that this would work better as a square image, losing about a fifth of the foreground and retaining some or the clouds.

 

That said, as it is its better than any sunset I've taken.
