texas - 2005 Dallas

There is Nothing particularly wrong with this shot. However, I am from Dallas. And unless you work for Mobile or SBC, I think there are several, much better, representative views of the city than this one.

Nicely composed. The red horse and the black horse works well.

I like all the different logos and symbols. Wish the parking garage wasn't in there. I think if you played with the levels to darken the grass and sky it would really pop.

Funny, I think my reaction was the opposite of Matt's. I think the presence of the logos, the parking garage, and the godawful architecture say much more about Dallas than the foreground. The exposure and composition, while technically sound, seem completely indifferent to both the beauty and the ugliness in the image. A more dramatic angle, richer colour or contrast, or anything with a trace of emotion could make this idea more interesting.
