ajpn 0 Posted October 15, 2005 From Burning Man this year. Taken moments after sunrise. And yes, it was manipulated some. Link to comment
laura_panduru 0 Posted October 15, 2005 I love it! ...besides de composition, the colours and tones. It looks like he's been wandering for ages trying to find his own place on earth. :) Regards! Laura Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted October 15, 2005 If one blanks off the seated, floating, anti-grav yogi, and the guy doing calisthenics, on the right, the composition becomes much more strict and clear. We then have a superbly lit and exposed early morning photo. Link to comment
ajpn 0 Posted October 15, 2005 Thank all of you for the comments. Thomas, I wouldn't want to remove those elements from this image because that is the way it really was there at that given moment. That is not to say you are not correct in your observation. It is truly surreal being out there at 5 o'clock in the morning with what has to be the highest concentration of creative, unique, people in the world at that given moment, all of them waiting for the sun to rise. And once it does they all do something, whatever it is they feel like, to welcome it, and then go back to whatever it is they were doing, or planning to do. I went out to the sunrise four days, and each time I walked away with a sense of awe. The colors represented above convey that feeling much more effectively than any words I can come up with here. jenna_g 0 Posted October 15, 2005 Yes you said it best....surreal! The colors are gorgeous and I love how the people are positioned almost in a sqaure, lines leading to one another. Would love to go here one day! Nice work. Link to comment

ellie designs 0 Posted October 30, 2005 Great capture/image Anthony, You've gotten some lovely stuff here. I missed it again this year, oh well maybe next year, who knows. It made me think of Picasso's Saltimbinques and harlequin paintings. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted March 30, 2006 I like the different elements (people) in this shot. Makes it far more interesting than just "pretty lighting". Nice work again! Tipping horizon bothers me a bit, but maybe it was like that. Link to comment
ajpn 0 Posted March 30, 2006 Interesting observation Kim. But if I tipped it to where it was level the guy would be leaning way sideways! The ground was entirely level. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted June 19, 2006 Show us some more, Anthony. These are great--even better than last year's, I think. --Lannie Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted September 13, 2007 Very good & moody. It appears he's been wandering for ages. Someone mentioned the elimination of the 2 figures on the right. I have to agree. I think it makes the subject stronger. Love the color in this Link to comment
