Guest Guest Posted October 20, 2005 Interesting concept, however I think the bluring is a bit too obvious/unnatural. Also the tree in the background attracts my eyes but then disapoints due to blur and darkness. All IMO. Link to comment

Re: the bluring is a bit too obvious/unnatural - i am not a devotee of the show all-tell all scholl of nature photography. the blur/vignette is the result of my holga/toy-camera filter that i employ to obscure detail. the intent is to encourage the observer to use their imagination and perhaps revive personal memeories to "fill in the blanks" in order to make my photographs a shared experience rather than an exercise in show and tell. this photograph is from my square thinking (ku) folder. this body of ongoing work is also titled Adirondack Dream Memories - photography that is driven by vague early childhood experiences in the Adirondacks, where I now live (in a sometimes strange waking-dream state of mind)..
