Saludos, Salvador. Link to comment

creativeclara 0 Posted January 9, 2007 I find the depth of focus here truly striking...it draws your attention back to the front, while the colors and everything else draws you to the back. Together, these elements bring the whole image into focus. Incredible. Link to comment
judyroush 0 Posted June 29, 2007 I just love the juxtaposition of hard, craggy rock and ephemeral, lit-from-within water. Just beautiful. The color is so striking! Link to comment
stewdbaker 0 Posted April 5, 2008 Well, I like the photo okay, but I believe it to be a composition rather than a straight shot. Now that is okay, but it seems rather obvious to me in this image. If it is a composition unintended to be seen by the viewer, then here, in my opinion, it is not successful. Many pictures are obvious compositions, for example the moon inside a wine bottle. Compositions in that case generally work, but if the composition is for dramatic effect, as I believe is the intent here, then the composition needs to be undetectable. Now I could be wrong, but what I see is a beach shot and a later manipulation in an editing program to add the stormy sky. The color of the sky does not match the tone of the sea, plus the horizon line is, in my opinion, too obvious. Now don't get me wrong, I like the image, but these are just my observations, and how can we grow and improve when all most everyone does is "Wow, what a great photograh!" Do you see what I mean? Part of giving a "critique" is to be honest and, at least, somewhat . . . critical. The "Wow" factor is nice for our egos, but does little to improve our photography. :-) Link to comment
