I'm struggling a bit these days: subjects like your friends, your pets, your family, things to which you are attached; how do you distance yourself from the image to decern what is a good photo, and what is more sentimental than artistic?

When photographing people, the photographer can tell he's taken a great shot if you can see not only the face, but the soul behind it. You have captured both. Definitly a shot to be proud of.
