How could I make this more effective?

It is a very nice shot, although it would benefit from a number of edits. You've captured a great sky as an impressive backdrop to the buidings. In the tweaked example, above. I substituted red channel luminosity data for the sky (to make it more dramatic), separated colors in LAB and tweaked the perspective skew/straightness a bit. Also sharpened it, since the posted version ;looks too soft.

 

EV was bumped about 3/4 of a stop and color rebalanced to cure the slight blue cast.

I took the liberty of re-working this photo to what seem to me a better way to show it. I believe most, if not all of your photos displayed in PN do not reflect your qualities as a photographer... someting seems to me is missing in the way you prepare your photos for display. It yiu do not want this critique to stay just drop me a line and i'll take it off immediately.
