Excellent portrait. The angle is good, and the lighting is excellent. I like that one side of his face is partially in shadow. His expression is delightful also.

My opinion is that you've photoshopped in too much contrast. The hightlights in his hair are blown out completely and his eyes are jet black with no detail and therefore no life. The angle and his expression are good, but subtler tones would better fit his smile the softness of his youth.
