lightwriting by swapan 0 Posted October 8, 2005 ... I looked for a long time at this picture. This is a picture which created an emotional moment for me and so, to me,it is highly successful. The technicalities are secondary in a situation and that too, is, high standard here. Congratulations for making me happy this morning. I wish I could also walk on that path ! Link to comment
skarmach 0 Posted October 8, 2005 A story telling picture. They have lived a simple life. They have live in harmony through ups and downs. (The clouds are great against the blue sky. The man and woman seems to be talking and that makes it all the more interesting). Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
elaine_roberts1 0 Posted October 8, 2005 What a lovely image! It is not often that you see a full-daylight landscape that retains the beaut=y youve captured. Two comments: I think that some of the clouds ar ejust a touch dark--they look overburned; and I think that it would have been nice if the couple had been looking into the frame rather than out. Still, a very nice landscape and human image, 6/6 Link to comment
zafran 0 Posted October 8, 2005 I like this photo. Has potential for strong emotional content. A suggestion would be to re-crop the photo to eliminate partially cut-off tree on far right (crop just to the right of the full tree). Open up more of the view to the left of the elderly couple bringing them a bit more to the center. The counterpoint of the vastness of the scene and the solitude (and companionship) of the couple would strengthen the emotional content. Final thought... a bit of post-processing to strengthen contrast and increase saturation. Very nice. Link to comment
snakecharmer 0 Posted October 8, 2005 This looks fabulous. How much Photoshop, and what did you do? Link to comment
graham boyd 0 Posted October 8, 2005 Wonderful. I like it that they are walking into the scene. The gait, the breeze, it all sways together. Link to comment

bens 0 Posted October 9, 2005 very nice, colorful scene and composition. placement of the couple, the turn of the head, the curve of he road, the tree providing balance on the right, all very nice. one quibble -- seems a little too photoshopped to me -- the very blue sky seems a little too bright and blue in particular.
