Wilson, after traveling with a car in the area, you will really need a carwash...and BTW, it is not a rare occurance in that area which is a very annimated place with a lot of "action"...

Fascinating image, that beautiful graceful bird and all that turbulence churning up the water going on below.....a strong metaphor for Israel. Pnina I just spent an emotional 20 minutes reading the first two chapters of "Letters From Israel", you are full of grace. I will return to read more.

That is realy my " baby". And you are the second TODAY from PN that wrote me about reading them .Israel is many times reffered to through the conflict, The letters are another dimention of life here.Thanks for your comment on my photo and the letters, realy made me very happy.

Now THIS is an original egret image. My favorite of the three. Nice work - Bryan.

This is my favorite too! The egret being off center is good and I love its leg up. The dramatics of the flowing water then to it bursting around and under the bird I love. Seeing the colors from the paddle wheel boat all merging inside the water is great too. This is truly an unusual photograph,what a great find and capture Pnina! - Merni

Bryan, I appreciate your comment because you have a huge nature and especially birds folder with a very nice diversity of the ways you have photographed them. My aim is to try and catch an atmospher, and not necessarily a single bird.

My favourite of the three, the right balance between the delicacy of the bird and threshing of the...eh... millwheel thingees.

I just have to agree with everyone else that it's a wonderful shot. I just wonder what the egret would be saying through all of this. Probably thinks it's all done just for him. From the looks of his perch, I would say he has many friends that spend time there, as well. Nicely done. Cheers.

Barry, glad to see you here, It is always an Egrets center, with some others( many fish in the pools...), but now is THE bitrd's migration season, and it is full with other kinds as well . Pnina

Extremly original!! A good composition with a strong message. Too bad there is not a little more space in the right showing the water (dirty liquid more say?!) flowing out of the pipe, but not always can't have it all! Cheers, Alex

Got a great shot !You have taken the shot at the right timing ,to position the egret.The image has a good composition in it.

I think that the water from the pipe is a small part of the image, and IMO did not need a bigger part of the composition.
