Nice colouring makes a potentially bland shot into a pleasant image. Like it.

I have to say - personally, and in no way a reflection of your photos - I don't like the border and naming that you've chosen. Just adding another 2 pence while I'm here ;-)

Thanks to both you gentlemen for taking time to look and to comment. I sincerely appreciate it.

Rob re the border, if you have any suggestions for alternate treatments, I will be more than happy to listen to your ideas. I won't guarantee that I will change the way I currently do things, but I would certainly listen to what you have to say.

heh, sorry there mate, I'm not much cop on borders as I've not played with them yet, but you know when you see something and it just doesn't work for you?

Taking another look now I think the best I can give is that the writing keeps drawning my eye downwards whilst trying to enjoy the shot.

Thank you. I am guessing 1/3 to 1/2 of the sun had cleared the horizon when I took this. I wasn't pointing the camera directly at it but I didn't miss it by much. I was frantically trying to photograph something in the distance before the sun got too high. When I depressed the shutter halfway to focus the lens, it locked in on a blade of grass in the foreground instead of the objects 200 yards out. When I saw the grass snap into focus, it gave me the idea for this. I recomposed and quickly took this one shot. I then went back to photographing the objects in the distance. As luck would have it, this turned out better than the stuff I took subsequent to it. Funny how things work sometimes.

I am trully impressed by this image. Great DOF, superb framing. Out of focus plant on the left of the frame is just perfect compliment to the main object. I don't give sixes or sevens for nothing - so this must be an exceptional picture to me. Regards.
