jam50 0 Posted October 9, 2005 Another candid shot. I didn't pose her, she was just there basking and luckily I was able to get this, one of my very favorite photos. Any thoughts? Link to comment
lucas82 0 Posted January 1, 2006 Subject, pose, and location are very good. Ligthing could have been better (too bad we don't control the sun). And maybe tightening up the shot on her more for clarity, or panning up some to include more of the scenery are about the only two other things I would have considered trying. But it's what you wanted that matters most. Link to comment
jam50 0 Posted January 1, 2006 Having control of the sun could be a huge help to photographers all over the world, but we'd have a hell of a time trying to all share the control knob! I agree that the lighting could have been better. Almost direct overhead sunlight isn't our friend when behind the camera. This was a completely candid and un-planned photo: we just randomly decided to land at this spot to relax for a while (and relax she did while I went off taking pics). I happened to look over and there she was. She had no idea I was taking her photo; I waited until she turned her head to me and then I tripped the shutter (which is exactly what I have to do with her or the look is faked). Even she agrees that it's one of the best photos I've ever taken of her. Take care Lucas Link to comment
