bpearl 0 Posted October 3, 2005 interesting shot, though i'd like to see more context...in the polaroid she's infront of a garden, but where is she now? is there a way to show the signifigance of why she's holing the image of herself? Also - fro portrait perspective, I'd have liked to see her eyes a little bit more... as for a travel photo - context context context, and action never hurt either. katt Link to comment
alejandrokeller 0 Posted October 4, 2005 Paul, I also fail to see the message of this photo and, for a portrait, it is way underexposed: I first thought that she may be holding a picture of someone else, maybe a daugther, there are a lot of terrible histories in Latinamerica regarding missing persons. I then made it a little lighter and it is clear that it is the same woman. So I agree with the last comments, given her expression and the composition, I do not really understand what you wanted to transmit. Your concept is better seen on this other pic... You have good colors and faces of indian people are very expresive, but that is missing here. You would have captured them better by choosing an appropriate exposure, focus and DOF. Link to comment
