kbridgman 0 Posted October 2, 2005 A lot of good subtle character in this shot. I like it. Link to comment
shirkwolfe 0 Posted October 2, 2005 Nice tree. I think I'd take off a little more the the right and bottom because the darker trees distract from the main subject. Link to comment
spitz 0 Posted October 2, 2005 I guess it's all a matter of taste, but unlike Susan, I like the darker foliage in the foreground bottom and right side. If I were to change anything, I'd lighten the few branches on the left to give them the appearance of being more in the background like the faint tree behind the main subject. Some might say that this would let your eye move off the photo in the top left corner, but you could contain that with a black-core white photo mat in my opinion. I like the photo very much. incommunicado 0 Posted October 3, 2005 many thanks for your comments. to Susan and Bob: I'm very appreciate your advises and feel somehow that both of you are right in some matter. Basicaly I'm agree with Susan about more tight framing - my camera's viewfinder catches 90-95% of real image - so on the film I get a bigger area than I estimated when made shooting... Also I feel that it's good idea from Bob about dodging dark areas. it will make image more soft and uniform tonality range. so I will think about your good advises before making final printing. Thank you a lot! Link to comment
raddatzphoto 0 Posted October 6, 2005 Looks like (this would be) a fun day in the darkroom. I would like to pull more form out of the main central branch, if you know what I mean. Link to comment
