I was headed to Red Deer to visit my parents for the August long

weekend when I happened on this scene, the sun behind me shining on

the canola field was amazing and I had to stop.

Great simple composition, with the silos(?) in exactly the right spot to make the picture interesting. I wonder how it would look larger. Can you actually see some texture on the field?

Yes, larger you can see a lot more texture in the field, have to check the posting limits here and possibly re-submit to show more detail. I've posted this at a few other sites for a rounded critique, so used the same image.

Excellent. Love the colors and composition

Very strong balance between color and comp. I think you caught the contrast in the sky just enough to give it texture but not so much to cause distraction. I could make a similar comment for the field. A good candidate for noise reduction on your ditigal image however (shot with film I presume?). Thanks for sharing!
