Seven, looking at the thumbnail version of this image I thought I see the acryllic knob of a kitchen-drawer or handle of a cheese-dome. Now, seeing the large version I am really amazed. Not only the drop but also the setting and background are fantastic. I just wonder how you got the composition, backbround and timing perfectly right with such a stunning result. Congratulations ! Where is drop two ;)

This is ex-tra-or-di-na-ry!! A world inside a drop. I never give 10/10 to nobody before, this is the first time...

I am assuming no manipulation (?) though I think you would have said. On that basis, whatever this is is perhaps the most incredible image uploaded in a long while. I cannot figure it - don't tell how you did this - just congrats over and over.

what an amazing picture! Is it safe to assume, since the background seems so dark, that what's in the drop is a reflection? If so, where are you/the camera? Shouldn't you be in the reflection? I'm just curious...nothing takes away from the fact that this is an incredible photograph. Full marks to you...

This the most interesting water-drop reflection/refraction picture I have seen. Good work! It is amazing how you have managed to capture a dynamic moment so well; one that would be difficult to get right even if it were static.

This is simply amazing. I can't fathom, at all, how you took this picture. I'm just amazed. It's completely beautiful and ...did I say I'm just amazed?

Funky! And in a good way. Still, the image seems somehow lopsided, as if lines are converging where they shouldn't. I'm not sure what I'd suggest...maybe cropping in? Great colors, though.

Does not look real, if this is a reflection we would see the camera and the person taking it. If this is real I am sorry, please post to let us know it how much, if any, touch up was applied to the picture

You're a kind bunch, mostly ;-) This image is a pure photograph - no filters or tricks have been used in its execution. Whatever tricks are seen are in fact made by your eyes. The reflections have been caused by the environment - a patio covered by plastic corrugated roofing - and the blue paper on which the subject matter rests plus a mixed green food colouring that influenced the visible green.

It is well known by now that I would divulge ANY manipulation, and accusations to that effect are out of order under any image of mine. It is PURE. Thank you photo.netters for your continued support.

Wow! Simply amazing! You're a true master at what you do, Seven. Couldn't quite understand the setup based on your comment. Is it really a drop falling? Could have been made with a shutterbeam and lots of failed shots. But in natural light..? Or are we looking upside down, under water at a drop having penetrated the surface? The technical aspect is amazing, as is your imagination, but liquid drops are a much photographed subject, and if anyone could handle it technically, many would - some maybe better, many probably worse. So IMO the artistic side doesn't weight so heavily here. But don't get me wrong - it's an excellent shot and a creative, well executed photo. You sure post some of the most interesting stuff found at photo.net. Nice!
