chris_browne 0 Posted November 27, 2001 Great shot, the colour and texture of the mountains and clouds is great! The rock in the top left detracts from the feel of the image, and is distracting to the eye. Link to comment
stanislas_mourdon 0 Posted January 20, 2002 Some of the viewers of this picture seems to think I should crop the ^right part with the rock. What do you think ? Stan Link to comment
larry_mobbs 11 Posted January 20, 2002 I don't see a problem with the rocks on the right. One could set out to show the isolation of being a a pinnacle but this image is very nicely framed by the rocks. It keeps the focus on the people rather than draws the viewer to the rocks. Very nice photo. Link to comment
jonathancharlesphoto 0 Posted January 20, 2002 The composition is fine without further cropping. The problem is the reticulated shadow detail which is either caused by thermal damage to the film or scanner noise multiplied by a steep gamma at the low end. If it's the scanner you could do 2 scans, one for the background (with the shadows black) and another for the foreground (with the sky white). You can then combine them using "merge if.." (in Photoshop) Anyway it's a nice picture. Link to comment
trevorbrady 0 Posted January 21, 2002 I would consider revealing the remainder of the shot. The idea would be to get the figures smaller is the vast landscape. Obviously it would depend on what you did with the original framed shot. That's why it's so important to compose the shot in your camera, and to the format you're shooting (35mm). Link to comment
juliusgwyer 0 Posted March 16, 2002 Beautiful shot, like the perspective, and the inclusion of the rocks on the right of the frame... a bit more grainy than I would have liked myself though. Link to comment
