patrick_michel_dagenais 0 Posted November 25, 2001 This is actually the "Pont de Québec" seen from bellow. The lights where added to give it a new look since the thing basicly looked like an old rusted peace of green scrap. The lights will shift colors depending on the tide as well. I'm wondering if it's just me who's amazed at the change or if it's actually interesting to look at now. Your comments would be appreciated. Link to comment
markcarp 0 Posted November 25, 2001 I find it an interesting and complex graphical image. I like the combination of the blue and the steel. Link to comment
lorraine 0 Posted November 25, 2001 I like the abstract angles and composition of this photograph. Also, the blue adds strength to the photo. Great work. Lorraine Foster Link to comment
maxime_plante 0 Posted November 3, 2002 Refering to your 3 shots of the "Pont de Québec": I don't know how the heck you pulled it off, but you made the new lighting actually look great! It doesn't look that good in person! Congratulations! / A Quebec City citizen. Link to comment
patrick_michel_dagenais 0 Posted November 3, 2002 Must be the fifth time someone pointed this out to me, guess I should write it here for future reference. These pictures where taken pretty much during the same week the new lighting system came up on the old Quebec bridge. I don't remember when but at some point they took away all the color filters, today it's just a mess of spot lights so indeed, this is not how the bridge looks like now and it's quite a shame. An interesting side note is that the old setup was actually a very botched job, at least according to the man who designed the whole thing who once did a rant about it on the local news. Some who saw the original schematics say that it would have looked even more amazing. Link to comment
