wenger 0 Posted September 23, 2005 Interesting choice of subject. She is very real looking... if not for the lack of body it would be expecially hard to tell. The colors, patterns, and textures are nice. I do wonder to what extent your interepretation is apparent in the photograph. Did you do the lighting or was it existant? The lighting is great! root 0 Posted September 23, 2005 The lighting is full shade, late afternoon. The giveaway is the blank stare, but also the reflections in the lower left that come from the glass box that is her permanent home. She survives on quarters. She's a life-sized boardwalk fortune teller. Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted September 24, 2005 It's unfortunate that these days, it's sometimes difficult to differentiate reality from heavy handed PS. Maybe B&W can better make the distinction. Link to comment
wenger 0 Posted September 25, 2005 See I was guessing a store front mannequin. The beads are really great. Link to comment
root 0 Posted September 25, 2005 I liked the tilted triangle formed by the head gear and the beads. I also liked the dark colors and I'm not sure about the role of B&W. I think the ruse is only good for a second or two and that anyone attracted to the image for any reason would recognize that she wasn't real. Link to comment
