Thank you for stopping by and commenting Mari. It really was a gorgeous afternoon before the sun went down today. Decent light, fabulous clouds, and water almost like glass. What more could you ask for? Other than a 600mm lens that is.

Well, besides saving up for a 600mm glass, I think I might crop the bottom. Might make the image bland but I still prefer it that way.

Thank you Achim. I took about 50 shots of these guys yesterday. You guys have about convinced me I should post one of just the bird and the water without anything in the foreground.

I was feeling the same about the bottom crop comments and wanted to see what it would look like.

I think it's a good idea, but might need recomposing to give it back some balance. Still, it's a great shot as it is! :)

I have to be honest, I am concerned its a little too bland without the foreground. I prefer it with it. But You have convinced me I should maybe post another shot without it to see what the public thinks. I'll try to do that tonight if I can keep from getting sidetracked by other projects. But I'll use a different photo though. I took about 50 shots of these birds that afternoon so I have plenty to work with and a couple of them already have very little land mass showing. Some of them also have have interesting ripples, and in a couple the bird is holding a fish in its mouth. We shall see
