This is just one we got on a small evening of poor surf. When the waves get bigger and

more surfable we should be able to get some amazing images. I would love to hear

This is beyond my understanding sometimes that an amazing n great image has very low rating n no appriciation in comments Why ?

 

Sucha great effort of both the surfer n the photographer. very nice play with the light.

Nice shot. Is that a light mounted on the board or remote flash? I'm guessing it's continuous light otherwise it would be an impossible shot to capture in focus and with such composition. I've never seen anything like this before -- great inovative thinking. Hopefully the surfer wasn't too blinded by the light. :) I've night surfed in San Diego before and know how dark it truly gets. This is a great shot.

Amazing shot, as the other posters have said. I am guessing you are on land because the perspective is not from water level like most of your other shots? Any other technical info?

ive seen some examples where the photog is shooting from behind and the surfer has the flash strapped above his knee. apparently its a bit hard to paddle with it on though... id love to see this shot from in the barrel like some of your other pics
