treeffe 0 Posted September 21, 2005 Incredible! You've done a good job thinkg it in B&W. You've enhached the texture of magazine and newspaper givin an excellent graphic feeling to this picture. Best congrats. -Fabio Link to comment

mervar 0 Posted September 23, 2005 Thanks for comments. It would be interesting for me too, if the woman would take a look directly into the camera. Link to comment
seven 0 Posted September 25, 2005 Well seen and taken. I'd like to see the midtones and shadows slightly darker if possible. Great perspective on a person, and social commentary (...all those opinions!) Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted September 26, 2005 This is really well seen and well composed. I like the choice of B&W to bring out the uniform -yet textured- mass of newspapers. At the same time, I cannot help thinking whether colour might have had the same impact or not. Maybe not... Could you post a comparison? Link to comment
mervar 0 Posted September 27, 2005 Colours brings out other things. It is more advertising, it has attractive power. B&W takes off all this. It also equalize person and all the data around here. Thanks again for all comments. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/sthem/IMG_0999aSmallWeb.jpg Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted September 28, 2005 Thanks for providing the link to the colour version. Indeed, the B&W has more impact in getting the lady lost in her merchandise, in pulling out the texture of the paper, in having that amount of colourful confusion somehow ordered. I also like the way the colour version remind me of how much "chromatic pollution" we have to endure in everyday advertising, which -eventually- annihilates the forms of the things around us. drybrain 0 Posted March 3, 2006 what a find. color would hurt IMHO, would make it a usual shot. the way it is - it is a strange, dry, and as you put it yourself "person-data equalizing" image. it is an interesting play on the "singal-to-noise" issue, on more than one level. Link to comment
