Late afternoon sun at U of M here in Minneapolis. I boosted warm light a wee bit for effect. Have to go back and try this closer to sunset. Fortunately that is earlier now each day.

I will take the bitter with the sweet. Apart from the lighting

fixture in the upper left, what would improve this image?

What a wonderful building! Since you asked, I thought about what could be done to it. First, it's a good picture as it is but it could be tweaked a bit. I played with it a little bit and here is the result. I edited out the light you noticed and also the people at the entrance. More importantly, its pretty underexposed and has a serious color cast. The reflections off the building probalby confused the camera. It's hard to get right but this is what I ended up with. More importantly, this is a good shot to begin with, but it should only be a beginning. This is like a standard "postcard" to set the scene. Then (and perhaps you did and they are not posted) you should move in closer and look for details or abstracts or unusual ways off seeing it. This is a fascinting building and rife with the possibilities for shooting interesting angles. Good luck and keep shooting!

Thanks, Bill. The color does look better. Actually liked the two small people for perspective. I did shoot quite a few images as I walked around the building. One side is not accessible and viewable.

I very much like it. I think the color temp could be chalked up to a matter of taste. I have heard a lot about this building but this is the first I have seen of it. I think the building and the photo are top shelf.
