It appeared to my like two photos. The upper part with less saturated colors (because the atmospheric humidity and the distance). And the lower part with oversaturated colors.

Personally I would crop out the upper part and desaturate the colors of the remaining (lower) part

Thanks for all your input! Ivan: Yes, the difference in color in the upper part is due to fog rolling into the distant valley. I personally liked this perspective, becauuse it helps divide the image into a distinct foreground, mid-ground and background. The image was shot from a mountain path, several miles away, at 200 mm. Another perspective, at 70 mm (and before the fog) is also included in my portfolio.
