If the camera had been tilted down about 10 degrees(?), then the two minute figures would have been near the top of the pix, and NOTICED, as they are important subject matter.. Blank off just above their heads and see the diff. The reflections of branches and leaves would have been more interesting than the jumble of branches and leaves..Also, to make the photo more strict and clear, one needs to blank off the last two trees on the left, about one fifth of the pix.

Interesting atmosphere.

The vertical line immediately draws attention, taking the viewer to the two slihouetted figures. The light they are moving towards is unnatural, slightly surreal.

The fog and low contrast add mood and emotion.

The birds are not convincing enough. They are too dark in tone to be consistent with the overall lighting. A few also look misplaced. They are neither in front of nor behind the trees. Perhaps they could be greyer, with careful attention to placement. The ones that seem to have the perspective to appear to be deep in the forest should look like the trees in front of them are blocking off part of their view.

Interesting at first glance but a bit cliched (but that's a matter of personal taste) and more importantly a bit too obviously a composite image. You need to work to combine the images more effectively.
