Flower in the rain

Too banal?

Very beautiful picture. Good exposure, sharpness and color tone.

 

I don't know the dead flower on the right adds anything to the picture or the maker meant for it to be there to tell a certain story. I also debate how to control the dof to make all background leaves blend in.

 

I am more and more convinced that the D30 is the digital I'd like to have right now if I had not invested so much in Nikon.

Colour and exposure of flower seem good, I think the black background and not-totally-out-of-focus background leaves detract a little. The second blossom is good contrast if you are making this statement, but for pure viewing beauty is detracts partly due to the subject matter and partly because there is a lot of space around it and the photo becomes slightly unbalanced. Good effort though!
