Nikon D2X with a 28-70 2.8 ED lense, Probably at 50mm at that time. Very simple light setup: three soft boxes, two small rear, at 45 degree angles at ~150 W/s just to bring up the hair a bit, and one large at ~200 W/s to the right of the camera, very close to the face.

I'm really pleased to have discovered your work. I see you have been a member for only a short time but you have already uploaded an impressive portfolio.

Your use of lighting is exceptional and this photo is a great example. I think I can work out what's going on by looking at the shadows and at her eyes. It's a very creative concept and you are getting fine sharpness too.

It would be intersting if you shared some technical information for your audience here on photo.net such as the lighting, lens etc. I find it's an excelent forum for learning and exchanging ideas. For example I would be interestsd to know what focal length and aperture you used here.

I will certainly return to your portfolio regularly and look forward to seeing more first class photos.

Regards,

Miles.

Thank you Miles! It is always very pleasing to realize that someone enjoys your work! I will start telling more technical details about my works, I'm still thinking should I do it right under the works, or have a separate topic in the forum? I'm pretty new here and not sure what is more useful.

Guess I can't leave much more in-depth commentary than this is super cool. Seems very original to me, and the lighting, tones, and technical aspects are perfect. I'll have to keep checking your portfolio for inspiration.
