I love dogs and good shots of dogs. The bars and framing is very clever and elegant. Very good balance of sunny brightness and black shadows.

Who said our best friends couldn't talk?...

After all this comments what to say, only that this shot is excellent.I do not think that he is sad,I can say that this expresion is more about calm and intelligent.Regards,Radu

Jan,Amal,Umair,Radu,Gerry and Manolis. As some of us think he is sad, and some think he is not, well ...."If dogs could talk"....We could have known for sure...

I appreciate your written comments, Pnina

Yes, as manolis says a very nice light and so very nice detail too. He (the dog not manolis!) wants to be through the fence and out into the interesting street...

I am curious why you chose a frame the same color as the bars. To me it gives it more of a cage-like effect than other colors might. I would have sent a different message, but that doesn't make me right.

Some day I'll catch you doing something wrong. I hate cages; I want to free this handsome animal. Tension is a powerful element in art.

Yes this is good.

the dog is interesting and has nice details but its ths cage that makes it.

Did you have wait until he stopped looking at you??...:)

Denis, The cage is done to give a context to his situation , how I felt it. I don't remember how long it took, but I have waited for the right moment, when he no longer was interested in me and the camera.... Pnina

Wonderful image. On top of it, I really love dogs. I remember somebody saying: I would like to be what my dog thinks I am...
