Pumpkin

very well exposed1 could you tell the detail about the techniques,exposure time etc.

Thanks for comment Ying Tang! Unfortunately I don't know the exact figures but I can tell you what I generally did in this pumpkin-photo-session. I used a tripod of course. I mainly used apertures of f/5.6 and f/8 and let the camera decide on shutter speed (longest ones lasted about 30 seconds). I made three shots of each - correct exposure and underexposure of -1 and -2 stops. There was no additional light in the room - just what you see. The problems I faced were the size of the pumpkin - in a larger one candles wouldn't be seen (Actually one can't see them when there are no back fire in the picture but I won't post these).

Amusing photo. What's with the wispy white streak on the upper left of the pumpkin? Smoke? If this were to be blown up and displayed, I'd clean up that and the white specks.

i hope you don't mind, i copied this image to my desktop for the day. its the coolest pumkin image i've seen in a long time. definetly needs some cleaning, though. cheers
