If you're intent is to show the isolation of this heavenly body, it's fine. Maybe I would have moved it just a little more to the right to be on a "3rds intersection". But if you want to show more detail of the surface, try cropping the frame down? Assuming your 10D is about same resolution as my 20D, you could crop it down significantly, then when it's resized for web posting here you aren't shrinking it as much. For an example, you can have a look at my similar shot --- click thumbnail at left (this was my first ever moon shot as well).http://thumbs.photo.net/photo/3253309-sm.jpg Of course now that you have the moon on that nice black background, you can add it as a highlight to other images, or create "fantasy" type shots. such as this other example at left, where it can be in a non-natural position or size. (yes, photo-purists will scream "it's not real", but I like to have fun with these things) Link to comment
