This little boy was born with a cleft lip and palette. He is

scheduled for reconstructive lip surgery this week. His mom wanted

some last photographs of Brendan before the surgery. Your comments

very touching photo (and background story). I commend the mom for wanting to take photos of him "as is" instead of shying away from them. my daughter has a birth defect and despite people wanting to feel sorry for her (and me), I take pictures of her all day long and think she is absolutely perfect in every way. I'm glad this mother also sees the absolute beauty in her child just teh way he is. The love between them is very evident in this shot, you did a very good job capturing the bond. very well done. Kudos.
