MichaelChang 12 Posted September 21, 2005 A gentle breeze will set off her personal wind chime to augment the music. Nice one, Carl, but I'm finding too much of my attention on her skin tone and facial ornament. Link to comment
root 0 Posted September 21, 2005 I tried a low key B&W version. Maybe I should revisit it for the reasons you've mentioned. Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted September 21, 2005 How about something along these lines for color.. Link to comment
root 0 Posted September 21, 2005 I started out with something like the muted colors version, but liked the darker version because of the contrast between the ear rings and cheek (yes it does boost the colors as well.) Same with the grayscale. I tried a really low key shot but didn't like the gradient out of clipped black into the midtones. Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted September 21, 2005 Then how about something like this, Carl? It's always about personal preferences, isn't it? I can live with many rendering variations so long as it's overall pleasing. Link to comment
root 0 Posted September 22, 2005 Pawel, your version is more like what I had considered. The downside, I think, is that you end up with two competing subjects separated by a large featureless area. I have a few more from the back and with less of a profile, but the main subject works best with a full side view. Link to comment
