dyowell 0 Posted September 11, 2005 You don't need a lot of help! This is a great shot! Just don't get too close to those bears! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted September 11, 2005 I agree with the above comments! You don't need much help ... and be CAREFUL!! If you want to change something ... try maybe darkening the image, or balancing it out with the shadows/highlights tool in PS. But really ... great shot!! Link to comment

leonking 0 Posted September 12, 2005 The image is a bit soft, but composition is marvellous! Link to comment
arnabbanerjee 0 Posted September 12, 2005 There are blown up highlights in the tree behind - but that's a challenge to manage such extreme on a sunny day in the forest. You could try to crop it (or take a tight shot) by eliminating the bright background - but that will eliminate the sense of natural habibat as well. What about a landscape format? That could have achieved both..but I like the image a lot. Congrats for pulling this off Link to comment
geo_pew1 0 Posted September 14, 2005 As the others have noted, please please pleasebe very careful here. Bears with cubs are extremely dangerous and will chase you.Bears can run as fast as a horse at a full gallop. You probably used a telephoto lense hereas a precaution but I give this warning to allphotographers, please be very careful, especiallyin Yellowstone Park. Link to comment
rich_evans 0 Posted September 14, 2005 Jose - you are a very brave man; I can only hope that you were very near a car when you shot this. While there is the blown out highlight in the trees behind, wildlife photography is highly dependant on your subject and less on balancing exposure. You have to take these shots when you can and hope for the best - nature was very kind you you my friend. I rate this a 7/7 because of the difficulty involved in pulling this off and the rarity of the opportunity. --Rich Link to comment
