stephen.schwartz 0 Posted September 11, 2005 Shot this with my 10-22 EFS-IS at about 11mm. The original photo had the trees pointed out quite a bit but I was able to correct it with the perspective correction tool in PS CS2. The sky has been adjusted a bit to even out the intensity and I used curves and selective masks the bring up the forests and balance out the distant mountains. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 11, 2005 I think this shot has far greater potential, here are some ideas to try... Crop a little from the bottom, maybe 1/5 to 1/4, then play around with saturation using a layer mask to really bring out the colour in the river bed. One other thing, you should significantly reduce the size of the 'larger' version, perhaps by as much as a quarter (so it will at least fit a 1024 width screen). Be great to see what you come up with... Link to comment
stephen.schwartz 0 Posted September 12, 2005 I'm not sure why you think it needs to be resized. As it is 525 x 679 so it should fit easily on a 1024 sreen. I am new to this site so if I'm missing something in that regard please let me know. I do agree with your comment about the saturation of the foreground and will make that change. I'm still playing with the format and height of the image. Link to comment
stephen.schwartz 0 Posted September 12, 2005 Sorry - I see now what you mean by the image size. I hadn't seen the "larger" button. I had been expecting to be able to click on the phot to get the larger size. I'll fix that too. Link to comment
elisebiersma 0 Posted March 5, 2007 I really like this picture, its different from the normal pictures of a similar motive, because of the foreground (or perhaps that's the motive :) ). It's original! Link to comment
