That's a great shot. I would have liked to see a more distant shot to catch how large the wave is compared to the amazed subject...This photo is just wild.

I think this wave is photoshopped a bit!...If this was a real wave that girl would be in serious trouble!

Nope..no photoshop.the wave is hitting a seawall and shootins straight up.I have dozens of pix that show this.people could stand inches from the wall and watch tons of water shoot up in front of their face. Of course 1 freak wave would of wiped out anyone along the wall. Look at my other pics and you will see what i mean:-)

Your initial post made no mention of a sea wall. Having mentioned that and viewing the pic you sent me it all makes sense to me now. I had figured the wave was breaking or curling over from the top. Thanks for the clarification.

Yes, at first glance I thought this poor girl was about to be smashed by a tsunami. It took me a second to see the water is jetting *up* after impact. Still a very scary photo, and well done.
