Valley view

I know this is a very mature subject (Tunnel View of Yosemite

Valley). However it is the most dramatic photo from our trip to

Yosemite during this last Veterans Day holiday.

 

I would greatly appreciate any comments and ratings...

High point for me is the composition. Overall nice job!

Just saw your photo over at the Luminous Landscape and followed the link. Excellent photo captured on the D30. The Graduated Neutral Density filter has worked well in this situation.

Love it loads. I find myself scrolling down because I just want to look at the mist. That's the best feature for me. I don't miss the top 30% or so, so I'd be inclined to turn it into a square format by cropping just above the mountain tops.

I agree to the Phil's "I'd be inclined to turn it into a square format by cropping just above the mountain tops" comment. Or I would take it even further to a slightly horizontal photo, if there is enough scenery on the left/right sides of this cropping. The mist in the shadowy valley is really beautiful and the sun on the mountain tops is the "high-grade-finishing" here (the sky above these parts is quite needless here, I think). Well done.

This is a great photo! My favorite part is the trees poking out through the fog. Very nice!
