A traditionalist

The style in YUKATA, a traditional summer wear, with straw hat, was

popular some 80 to 100 years ago in Japan. The same generation of

Verito lens.

Here I show you one other shot by the same lens but by aperture f8. You may recognize not only drastic change of sharpness and contrast but also the disappearance of individual flare of Verito.

Thank you, Peter. I hope these examples may help you to enjoy old lenses. They were all made on the way to get perfection but still imperfect. Really individual from our present eys that already know what is ferfect!

Yasumasa, of all your portraits I like this one the most. It is very reverent and honorable. I like both instances, f4 and f8.

I like that you are experimenting with old lenses, which I beleive can be the best for portraits.
