john_butler3 0 Posted September 6, 2005 I am new to photography and any input or info would be greatly appreciated. I took this picture of my 2 year old daughter in my kitchen. Looks like she was told to pose like this, but she was really day dreaming. for your time John Link to comment
mcgarity 0 Posted September 6, 2005 I love the photo. Its a great image I am sure you will treasure and deservedly so. That said I can't help but think that it needs to be just a tiny bit sharper. Link to comment
kristen riley 0 Posted September 6, 2005 John, I agree with what was said above. I wanted to add that your off center composition is nice. I would like to see the crop looser on the bottom, but that is hindsight. It is a great capture. I look forward to seeing more of your work! Link to comment
Boppa 0 Posted September 6, 2005 It is hard to capture young children but you have done well with this one. There could be lots of captions ... like ... when are you going to stop playing with that camera and play with me!!! I might crop a bit more on the right but I like the photo. Link to comment
john_butler3 0 Posted September 7, 2005 I just wanted to say thank you already for all the input. I was shocked to see alot of positive being she is the first person I have ever shot. The image actually was lighten alittle in photoshop, but I never cropped it at all. I do like the idea of maybe cropping it to the left some. I shot it just like you see it, but it was a tiny bit darker. I should have left it I guess. She was facing a sliding glass door so the light was really coming in hard and I didnt have time to close curtains. I will gladly post a few more shots I have taken of her tomorrow. I do appreciate the input from everyone. This will really help me out down the road. Thanks John Link to comment
giggles 0 Posted September 7, 2005 I like this alot... Great soft tones and lighting. She is a beautiful little girl. My preferences would be to leave it as is and not crop it. It make the composition more interesting. Keep them coming. Link to comment
