christian deichert 1 Posted November 19, 2001 Great photo. The forest almost has a mythical quality to it -- this is the kind of scene I pictured when I was younger whenever I read about swordsmen questing through the hinterlands. Link to comment
allan500 0 Posted November 19, 2001 Everything about the shot is pleasing: composition, earth tones, area of in focus subject matter, and far ground. Link to comment
timo_inkinen 0 Posted November 19, 2001 I liked the "Lord of the Rings" book and I like this photo also, because it reminds me about the LOTR's scenery I have imagined :-) Composition and colors of this photo are both very nice, but I think the photo is tilted too much to the right (look at the background shore/forest to see this). Anyway, a well captured situation among "giant" trees... Link to comment
jeff_weiss 0 Posted November 20, 2001 I also immediately thought of "Middle Earth" when I saw this photo. I don't know if that's what the photographer had in mind when he took it... but if he did, maybe he might want to pan left a bit to take out the bright sky on the right. And maybe it's a bit too dark. But I am just being picky, it looks great. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 20, 2001 I used to think quite a lot of the opinions expressed here but it seems now that the inexperienced newbies are overrtating one another and down-rating the better stuff. This images just plain sucks! I'm sorry but the horizon isn't even straight and the composition is non existant. 1/1 Link to comment
uccemebug 0 Posted June 28, 2002 "The horizon isn't even straight"? So what. It's a clever pic and well executed. Link to comment
