The Rohtang Pass

Scanned with a Nikon super coolscan 5000, equally useless as the Canon 4000FS-at least to me !

At a height of 14000 ft, the Rohtang pass in HP, India has a

breathtaking view. What botherd me was the pollution, solely from

the visitors cars exhaust, which turned the snow nearby to a grey

color, compared to the pristine white seen at the distance !

Swapan thats a fine pic of Rohtang. I just happened to have returned from Rohtang and beyond, particularly Chandra Tal and Spiti Valley. Exhausting 10 days of trekking and travelling but beauty that no camera can capture or words describe. I have a few pics uploaded do take a look. Happy Shooting. Sathyaki

..what a coincidence, I just left a message for your picture ! I wish I knew about the spiti valley when I went to HP this summer ! I need to start going off to offroad paths to see those scapes that nobody can describe or capture -as you said!
