These are cormorants. A number of them seem to have taken up local residence this year. They are fascinating birds to watch.

I like everything about this shot except for that fence pattern at the back/top. Great poses, great colours, great sharpness!

You know I have to agree the fence should be cropped out. If it were a minor adjustment I would crop it and simply replace the image up top. But its not really that minor so I hate to do it that way. What I really need to do is edit it and repost it from scratch.

 

I expected this image to slip into obscurity pretty quickly. It did a little better than that. Its got decent ratings and had about 14,000 views. I am surprised but I am not complaining.

The problem is which one is Johnny! ;P
