Some leaves close to the lens produced the soft effect. The rose is a

hybridized variety. Shot at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Hamilton,

Ontario. Shot on Kodachrome 64, on a tripod. I got an HM for this

slide at an interational salon many years ago. Haven't shown it since.

It is a complex photo. The photographed object is beautiful but simple. Nevertheless, the environment that you have recreated is very interesting. Not only the background is green but it seems as if the air that makes a detour to the flower also was green. It is really an achievement that you have penetrated so many quantity of life to a photo.
