I don't think they are up to standards for journalism, but you did bring these people into my life with your pictures and that is pretty much the point of journalism. Of course this is photo.net and any image posted here is also liable to critique - so the problem I have with these images is how you use the wide-angle. Yes, the trend in journalism is to shoot wider than ever, but using wide angles takes a lot of skill to get images that aren't overwhelming. Its hard to make a wide angle shot not look like a "snap-shot" I'm not critisizing the people in your images, the good intent of your work but only the quality of it. Wide angle journalism is not so easy to master and it does take practice. It takes a bit more consideration than the old "F8 and be there" theory. Link to comment
