Guest Guest Posted November 20, 2001 Chris, giving all benefit of the doubt for viewing a scanned image, this is a superb photo - colour, composition, everything. I'm very much a chaser of light myself but as we all know its not always possible and/or convenient. This one's fanstasic! Well done. Link to comment

brendon 0 Posted December 17, 2001 Well composed, peaceful shot. The digital side of this photo has some problems, and I've struggled with them myself: In landscape photos (as in this one) the abrupt transition in density between the sky and the dark horizon just seems to blow away the scanner. Light seems to wash out what should be a crisp edge to the treeline as it meets the sky. Is there a way around this problem? My own experience is with PhotoCD; would a better/more expensive scan be better? Would a film scanner of my own do a better job? Are there any Photoshop tricks to compensate? One of my posted photos (a sunset) has this problem. Link to comment
craig_kunitsky 0 Posted July 3, 2002 I love this shot, with the relection, just enough lights of on the boat and the silhouette of the tree. Link to comment
