chrisbisset 0 Posted September 2, 2005 I wish I had a wind farm near my house. Makes you wonder why people complain about them... p.s I think it would look better if the horizon was straight. Link to comment
chrisastall 0 Posted September 2, 2005 I think this would look slightly better with teh ground at teh bottom cropped off. Link to comment
billfoster 0 Posted September 2, 2005 It's a really nice picture, but it could be spectacular! Since you asked, if it were me, I would straighten the horizon first. Then, I would look at cropping it a bit. Think about eliminating some of the foreground and especially trying to line one of the upper right rotor blades up with the corner, so it leads you into the photo. Finally, I would try to do some basic level adjustment in PS or Elements. A contrast curve woulkd help it a lot. Here is an example of one way to approach. Although I may have darkened the foreground a bit much. Hope you don't mind my playing with it a bit. It is already a wonderful picture. Link to comment
lefty 0 Posted September 2, 2005 Thanks for the feedback, I'll play around with your suggestions. Bill, I don't mind you adjusting my photo, sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. I didn't do any processing on this photo, my PS skills are minimal. Again thanks for the feedback; it's really appreciated. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 2, 2005 Looks like a good potential for a beautiful sunset. I agree with everyone about the horizon. I hope you had tried multiple shots and compositions and then decide later which you like best. Nice fix Bill and I agree with you that you darkened the foreground a bit much. (The main complaint about the windmills near where I live is that they chop up thousands of birds of prey every year) Link to comment
