k_townsend 0 Posted November 21, 2001 It's an excellent composition, and great use of color. The tiny bubbles are a might distracting, but I suspect they're also nearly uncontrollable. Excellent job. Link to comment

andrew_aldrich 0 Posted November 22, 2001 Very beautiful, and wonderful combination of color. I only wish my "macro eye" was that good. Link to comment
hique 0 Posted November 23, 2001 Very colorful, shiny, great composition, very creative. I love it. Actually it's the first time I rate a double 10 Link to comment
nick_s 0 Posted November 23, 2001 Recently, Seven received POW honors for a macro of his. While his photo was not particularly to my taste, I appreciated the effort. When I saw the thumbnail for this, I thought it was a Seven photograph... and it certainly dosn't surprise me that he commented favourably on it. What I'm awkwardly trying to say is that I tend only to be lukewarm to the macro genre, but there are exceptions. The colors and composition of this photo are just such an exception. Very nice indeed. A shame about those small bubbles though, because they certainly do detract. Link to comment
okay 0 Posted November 24, 2001 Thank you all for the comments. A few of you thought that those nasty bubbles were pretty unfortunate. Well, I agree -- I tried my best to avoid them, but that was about as good as it gets. Anyway, you finally convinced me to do a bit of PhotoShopping to get rid of the nasty little buggers. And I guess you were right -- it *does* look better... Link to comment
trisha d 0 Posted November 25, 2001 ...and I would have left the bubbles in - I like details like the tiny reflections as well. Micro-photography can deliver such power in its simplicity. This is very fine work - the color, the elegant line, the crystal clarity. I'm inspired to work harder in this area. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted December 6, 2001 No hesitation for the rating: I've seen this kind of things before, but never so perfect (except once maybe). Nothing I would change ! Congrats... Link to comment
