Taken at Sunset.Siletz Bay area is a haven for various types of wildlife. Seals and a variety of birds make their home along the beaches and in the Siletz Bay National Wildlife Refuge, which is located east of US 101 and encompass the wetlands area there. Great blue herons, swallows, kingfishers, hawks, and various waterfowl and shore birds make their homes in the Siletz Bay area. Brown pelicans frequent the area during the summer months.
