chris_browne 0 Posted November 19, 2001 Nice close up! The background is a little distracting with different coloured "blocks", and the shadow under the body makes the legs seem a little detached. I love the expresion though! Kind of a "What are you lookin' at?" pose! Link to comment
teffy 0 Posted November 29, 2001 When I first saw this on the screen, it made me pull back. Were you startled? I increased the constrast with Photoshop - is it too much? Thank you for your input! Teffy Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted December 1, 2001 Great shot--better than anything I've done...but probably short of making it as a National Geographic photo. Link to comment
babatunde martins 0 Posted January 7, 2002 Great shot!. I like the compostition of this shot. What a wonderful subject! The shallow depth of field works very well here. Link to comment
SolaresLarrave 2 Posted March 19, 2002 Great! Now... how did you manage? Post a how-to-story, please. I'm fascinated by the wonders you can do in macro, and this is one I would like to emulate. Sometime, when I grow up... Link to comment
teffy 0 Posted March 20, 2002 Getting this shot was just luck. I was lounging on the front porch, and saw this mantis walking in the rock garden just beyond the porch. He was BIG: 4 or 5 inches long. I moved slowly around him and he didn't seem to mind. Link to comment
